How to find report or invoice template to edit?

SUGGESTED

I have looked in the 'Reports' folder (and the 'Custom' folder under that) and opened assorted files in both Crystal Reports and Report Designer but cannot seem to find the file templates that are used for running a Purchase Order report, Subcontractor Report, or for invoices. (I have found ones with those names, but they don't seem to look like what actually prints out.) We even have some options that were customized for our company to have our logo at the top, but I don't know where those are. The only thing I could find through my Google search was how to check that the file path for reports led to the corresponding folder repository (which it does). But how do I find out which specific template(s) are being used when I click to run a certain report?

I think this is what you are looking for, hope it helps

go to the module where the report is located. eg; if it's an AP/ reports / check if it's under invoice register, GL reconciliation, cash management etc and know the name of the report you want.   once you know that, then go to report manager (the very first option under reports)

select the report you are looking for (based on the info above) and then select change on the right-hand side. you will see the name of the template used under the file name and that is the one you need to look for under the reports folder

if you want to edit it then look for that template in report designer. I usually like to save copy of that report under a different name to make adjustments on the copy

if after you make the adjustments, you want to use the adjusted report save it under the custom report folder and then go back to report manager and change the template to the new one.
