Yes, the drafts invoices can be deleted.  This article "How do I void or delete an unposted invoice in Billing?" will provide instruction on how to delete the invoice.  

If the contract is closed, it could prevent the invoice from being deleted. Please review article "I cannot delete my pending invoice in Billing." for steps to see all the unbilled (unposted) invoices in the file, so you can rename the file.  Please contact support for assistance.
