While posting checks we received a failure notice. This was after generating accrual entries. I have never seen this error message before. How can we correct this?

Rhonda V Does this mean another user was trying to update the record at the same time?
I am the only one who uses the payroll module and the log doesn't indicate that anyone else was working in it but we assumed that I posted checks too quickly after generating accruals maybe? But we posted checks again like the article said. Everything is now posted in two batches and the totals match our reports.
Same for our company only one person uses that system. Glad you were able to get it figured out!
It wasn't necessarily the payroll module that was in use. When you post PR checks, it is posting to other applications as well, such as CM, GL, JC... and perhaps it was too quickly after generating accruals. I don't know if the system log would have provided you with more information as to where the conflict was encountered. Glad it went through eventually!
You are right, the log viewer is a great place to check. I forget about it sometimes.
