CP5 error TooManyFiles for Zip.Add

Question

Upgrading to v13.1 SageCRE300 Estimating - when backing up DBs it returns CP5 error TooManyFiles for Zip.Add and ends backup - Incomplete. Not a space issue. Validates the available space 825MB for backup and 96GB available. 
 Checked knowledgebase and only shows CP5 error - Not enough available space and the other is permissions issue. Neither apply. 
 It did back up 2 other DBs to the same location without any issue. I tried to include less files from the same DB and get the same 
 CP5 error TooManyFiles for Zip.Add error . 
 Any help would be appreciated.

You'll sometimes get this error when backing up Accounting data folders when there are too many .txt, .pdf, .prn, .zip or .tszip2 files are included with your backup. It is best to try and keep these types of files stored somewhere other than your data folders. Moving them out or excluding them from the backup will usually resolve this issue. 
 However, you seem to be backing up an Estimating database. Technically, the only files you need to select for backup in an Estimating database are the 5 .dat files: pei.dat, pes.dat, pwa.dat, pwc.dat and pwr.dat. Try selecting just those files. File Tools will automatically include the data from the PVData folder. 
 If you are trying to backup an entire folder full of estimates and databases, you may have reached the 2GB limit. If all else fails, ensure that the data is not in use by launching the Pervasive Monitor from Start, All Programs, Pervasive, Utilities (or similar path based on version) and back up your files by making a copy using Windows Explorer or the built in Windows compression (zip) tools by right clicking the folder you want to back up and selcting Send to, Compressed (zipped) folder. The important thing to remember is that the .dat and .pee files are only pointing to the data in the PVData folder. When you make your own backup without file tools, you must include all the files and sub-folders and you must ensure that none of the data is in use or being locked by Pervasive.
