Sage Fixed Assets release 2025.1 is here!

January can be a little blah…but not this one! We’re happy to announce that the Sage Fixed Assets 2025.1 release is now available! Packed with tax compliance, new features and enhancements, and even a sleek new CIP (Construction in Progress, formerly Planning) application, we know this release will bring you and your team the peace of mind you need to be more efficient and compliant in the tax season. 

What’s new

  • Yearly tax updatesIncludes Section 179 deduction limits, vehicle depreciation caps for 2025, fileable Form 4562 for 2023–2024, updated Audit Advisor validations for accurate filings, and more.
  • All-new Sage Fixed AssetsCIP (Construction in Progress) applicationCapture all project costs and track spending against budgets, monitor individual line items that will become fixed assets, and transition completed assets directly into Sage Fixed Assets—Depreciation for seamless lifecycle management! And now, you can purchase CIP seats independently of Depreciation—offering more flexibility.

How to update

Important: Before upgrading, consult with your business partner or Sage to ensure that this update is compatible with customizations, integrated applications, and other configuration options. If you install this update independently, you assume responsibility for any impact on your system.

 

If you're updating from Sage Fixed Assets 2024.1 or later, it is quick and easy to download the 2025.1 release via Sage Advisor Update. If you are using version 2024.0 or prior, follow the steps to download the release from the Sage Knowledgebase.

 

Sage Advisor Update (version 2024.1 or newer)

 

Sage Advisor Update may have already notified you about the availability of this release via a pop-up message in the Microsoft Windows system tray. Didn’t get the notification? No problem—follow the steps below to get the release via Sage Advisor Update:

  1. Go to Start, All Programs, Sage, and select Sage Advisor Update.
  2. If the 2025.1 release is not listed, click Check for Updates.
  3. After the release is found, select it, click Download & Install or Download Only and follow the prompts to complete the process.

 

Sage Knowledgebase

To update to Sage Fixed Assets 2025.1, download the product update from the Sage Knowledgebase or contact your Sage business partner:

  1. Click the following link to open the Download Portal article: Sage Fixed Assets Download Portal
  2. If you are not logged on, click Log in on the right-hand corner of the page.
  3. Select your product to download.
