The Sage Fixed Assets Scanner App v2.6 is now available in the Google Play store, with a few updates designed to make asset scanning easier—bringing new “light” to real-world challenges.
What’s new:
See what you’re scanning—literally
Based on customer feedback, you can now use your device’s flashlight while scanning asset tags—making it much easier to capture assets in low-light environments like warehouses, storage rooms, or job sites.
The flashlight turns off automatically after each scan, and you can toggle it on or off anytime.
Built for Android 10+
This update supports Android 10 and above, helping ensure better security and compatibility moving forward.
As shared in a recent Community Hub update, this change helps align the app with newer Android platform standards and security improvements. If you missed that update, you can read more here.
A smoother scanning experience
We’ve also made a few small improvements that make a big difference:
- The Asset List now keeps your place after viewing details
- “Chat with Support” is now Contact Support for a clearer experience
This update focuses on making your team’s work in the field a little easier—helping them move faster, stay accurate, and avoid frustration—even when lighting conditions aren’t perfect.
