I would like to know if you can do bulk edits on existing assets. Is it possible to update the last audit date with a bulk update opposed to doing it manually one by one?

Hello Olivia.
The last Audit date would be a Customize field and as such it can be changed in mass in any one of 3 ways. See How to do a global change to General Information fields for the details.

I'm trying to bulk edit multiple assets with this Bldg 200 in front. What am I doing wrong?
Hello Olivia,
First, your display is suffering from the Windows scaling issue. See Windows Scaling issue for the fix.
You are in the Replace function, that Look For: value cannot not be a partial value. It will only find the exact value entered. You could create a group on “Description contains Bldg 200” and selecting that group on the Asset List would allow you to clear the description for all the assets in that group.

So there's no way to just remove the Bldg 200 part in bulk? I'd want the rest of the description to remain.
Thanks!
Right, a partial edit of any value is not a part of the replace function.

But you're saying I could do it another way?
Well, no I wasn’t, there is no way to mass change just part of a field in the program. Any one of the three methods of change general information fields would require edit each description.
Working off the theory that editing in Excel would be faster, you can create the group as above, then do a Custom Export of the system number and the description, then you can edit the descriptions in Excel and then do an update import to replace the descriptions of those exported assets.
See How to import changes to existing assets for more details.
