v2024.1 Cannot Print/Preview

SUGGESTED

Have a customer that has Sage 100, Sage HRMS and Sage Fixed Assets v2024.1 all on same workstation.

Every tme HRMS has an update, user cannot print/preview from SFA. I've tried repairing several times, and reinstalling SFA and usually after many attempts I can get it to work but this time is a different error and I'm unable to resolve.

The message is "Value does not fall within the expected range".

I've included a screenshot.

    Hi  ,

Thanks for reaching out, you can try the following steps that might help resolve the printing/preview issue with Sage Fixed Assets:

    1. Permissions Check: Ensure the proper permissions are set for the server's MAS90 folder, workstation folder (if Advanced/Premium), and the common components and Crystal Reports folder on the local machine.

    2. Sage Fixed Assets - Firewall Exceptions: Add necessary firewall exceptions to prevent Windows Firewall from blocking communication between the client and server.
      Here's how:

      • On the server:
        • Go to Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall.
        • Turn off Windows Firewall for Domain Networks, Private Networks, and Public Networks, or add a Port Exception:
          • Log into the computer as an Administrator, click on Advanced settings.
          • Right-click on Inbound Rules, select New Rule, then Port, and click Next.
          • Select TCP (default), then Specific Local Ports, and enter the value 2638 (Network) or 1433 (Premier). Click Next.
          • Select Allow the Connection, click Next.
          • Check all boxes for Domain, Private, and Public, click Next.
          • Enter a name in the Name field, click Finish.
          • Repeat the same steps to add an Outbound Rule.
      • On the client:
        • Follow the same steps as for the server to add the port exceptions.
    3. HRMS Registration: Since the error message mentions "value does not fall within the expected range," this could be related to an issue with HRMS needing to be registered. To register HRMS:

      • Ensure all users log out of Sage HRMS.
      • Backup all Sage databases.
      • Log in to HRMS as Master and click on the question mark in the upper right-hand corner.
      • Select Register Sage HRMS and complete the registration process.

Please review these steps and see if they help resolve the issue. If the problem persists, you might want to chat with Sage Fixed Assets Support for further assistance.

If this helps please mark it as verified :)

    Warm Regards,
    Erzsi
