asset not found

I have an asset on the Net Book Value report, yet when I try to dispose of that asset, it says asset not found.

Hello Gene, 
 This could be something easy or something very complicated to fix. 
 I&rsquo;ll start with on the NBV report both the System Number and the Asset ID appear on that report. 
 Which one of those is you Go function and are you using the right one, and is the group set to the All Complete Assets when you do the search? 
 You could try going to the asset above or below it and see if it appears on the list at all. 
 If it is there it should be recoverable, but then I have a lot more questions.
