We are excited to introduce the latest additions and enhancements in Sage HRMS Q2 2025- introducing powerful enhancements across the premium web version, and mobile versions, further streamlining HR operations and employee self-service.
Here’s what’s new:
HRMS premium web version
- New Group Security Options
- The following screens have been added to the Group Security interface, allowing organizations better control over their information security:
- Direct Deposit Administrative Screens
- E-Verify Administrative Screens
- The following screens have been added to the Group Security interface, allowing organizations better control over their information security:
Direct Deposit Enhancements
- Direct Deposit administrative screens are now available for HR Only installs
- Now available without payroll integration (previously only available for Sage 100 Payroll integrations).
- HR Admins can configure direct deposit settings in HRMS without needing payroll software.
- Employee Self-Service (ESS) now supports editing direct deposit with approval workflows:
- Employee edits trigger admin approval before changes apply.
- Notifications are sent for pending approvals.
- Export Direct Deposit
- Administrators now have the ability to export Direct Deposit information for users in their organization
- This interface allows users to search and sort for employees by name, org level, department and more
- Information is exported in a .CSV file for easy download and use
Time-based One Time Password Authentication
- Sage HRMS now provides the option to configure a Time-base One-Time Password (TOTP) as an Additional Authentication method
- TOTP provides an additional layer of security in Sage HRMS by requiring a code from an authenticator app in addition to a password to access an employee’s account
- Once enabled, employees will be required to register an authenticator app on their personal device in order to log in to Sage HRMS
- This functionality will be supported in the July 2025 Sage HRMS Mobile Application release
Sage HRMS WCAG Compliance Initiative
- This release implements the first phase of our enhancements to ensure that the web version of Sage HRMS meets recognized accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
- These updates include improvements to field labels, language references, alternate text and other improvements to ensure accessibility devices including screen readers can better perform in our web product
- This release focuses on prioritizing behind-the-scenes fixes for some of our most popular Employee Self Service screens including:
- Personal Profile
- Time Off
- Pay History
- Home Page
- Log-on
Cross Employer Transfer Improvements
- The Cross Employer Transfer task has been updated to give users the option to transfer Direct Deposit and E-Verify information when transferring an employee
- Users will see the option to transfer one or both of these data sets when completing Cross Employer Transfers from the web version of Sage HRMS
- Users will see the option to transfer E-Verify data when completing Cross Employer Transfers from the desktop version of Sage HRMS
ESS
- Login Defect Resolved
- Fixed a scenario where ESS users couldn't log in if:
- They were terminated in one company, then rehired in another with a different employee number.
- Now resolved and available in the Q2 Release.
- Fixed a scenario where ESS users couldn't log in if:
Mobile Application – Update Coming July 2025
- Company Phone List is now available, allowing users to search for people in their company and view phone, email and org level information
- Performance Review is now available, allowing users to view their performance review history
- Time-based One Time Password (TOTP) Authentication Support
- TOTP Authentication will also be supported in the mobile version of Sage HRMS, allowing employers to require a TOTP Authentication code when users log in to the mobile version of Sage HRMS
- WCAG Compliance Updates
- The Sage HRMS Mobile Application has also been updated to better support accessibility tools and meet WCAG Compliance requirements
- In addition to backend changes, a number of interfaces have been updated for better usability, allowing easier navigation, improved screen reader functionality and better text resizing in the app
