I have an existing Crystal report that contains UPCKHD and trying to add the field lineno to it and get error message incorrect syntax near the keyword 'lineno'. I have tried using ToText, ToNumber etc. But you get the same type of error message if you query SQL too. There is something wrong with the syntax of that field. It says it is an integer. Does anyone have a workaround to be able to show that field on a Crystal Report?

Hi Sue, can you tell me the reason you need to create a line number in the report? also any way you can provide a screenshot of the exact place you receive the error?

a customer has a Payroll audit report that they use to compare to the timecard report after payroll has been completed to check data entry - the information is coming into the UPCKD table with separate line items for some earnings codes and deduction codes but of course rolls up on the actually check. They need them to match.
