Not enough disk space for restore...but there's plenty.

Question

Hi. We have multiple .bku backup files for TimeSlips but are unable to restore any of them. We get an error message that there isn't enough disk space. However, we actually have 74.5GB of free space. Anyone know how to get around this issue? Seems like TimeSlips can only see a limited amount of the free disk space for some reason.

Hey DustinCanDoIt . Just wanted to chime in a bit to what Caren2 has already said. 
 Please understand that the version of the software that you are referencing is a PRE-Y2K product. Yep, it is over 20 years old. It is a 16-bit Btrieve database. 
 While I applaud your efforts to keep this thing alive, I really don't think you are doing your customer any favors at this point. The thing is on life support. 
 I think it is time to leapfrog the 20 versions to the v2020 Perpetual (now a Firebird SQL database) and into the 21 Century. 
 Believe it or not, we should actually be able to convert that old data all the way up. It will have to pass through 20 conversions to get here, but it should convert. 
 I just think that running v2020 Perpetual (pay once and it is yours to keep running a la the v8 for as long as possible) is a way less risky proposition to trying to limp that v8/Btrieve going forward. It is going to run much better on 64-bit machines going forward, have greater capacity, features and compatibility with future OS and platform changes. 
 As Caren mentioned, you only have a few more months to even purchase the Perpetual version as Timeslips will go subscription only beginning October 1 of this year. You and your client can read more about the transition here: http://www.duhon.biz/sage-timeslips-moving-to-subscription-only-pricing/ 
 Also, why do you need to restore? Are you switching machines? Did you have a corruption problem? Because you need more than the SLP file from that BKU. Perhaps there is another way forward to achieve the same purpose.
