Not importing all slips, Record Failed, Nickname 2 already in use

SUGGESTED

I have a couple of issues with importing:

I have imported all the purged slips from my backups for the fiscal year (5/1 thru 4/30) into a separate archive database, so that we can run certain reports based on those slips.

Most of the backups imported accurately with the correct number of slips matching my paper log.  However, 12 of the 154 backups did not import *all* the slips that they should have.  The dialog box that pops up on these imports shows the total imported (which is way less than it should be) and it says "Failed: 1".

For instance, for 5/26/21 there should have been 40 slips imported.  But it only imported 6.

When I click on Journal to view the details, it says "Record 7 Failed - The Nickname 2 field contains a name that is already in use.  You must define unique names for Nickname 2. Please change the name." --(In our case, Nickname 1 is the alpha/numeric Client Name, and Nickname 2 is a 4-digit numeric Client Number)

So it stopped importing at the "failed" record (#7) and did not import any more slips after that.

It's the same for all the incorrect imports: it stops at the failed one and doesn't import any more after that.  It's also the same error message for each one (Nickname 2 error).

Issue #1 - I don't know which client/slip it's referring to that it says has a duplicate Nickname 2.  It says "Record number", but how do I cross-reference that?

To troubleshoot, I tried selecting a couple of the incorrect imports, and manually checked each client that was billed on that particular backup to see if there was a duplicate Nickname 2 anywhere else in the Open, Templates, Inactive or Closed lists of clients, and I could not find any.  So why is it telling me there is a duplicate Nickname 2?

Issue #2 - The Grand Total of slips that were imported was 13,816.  However, there are an additional 1,436 slips missing from the incorrect imports (based on my paper logs) which means that any reports I run will not be accurate.  (Almost 10% of the slips were not imported!)

Any thoughts or solutions to these issues and/or how to import those missing slips? (Running 2015 Sage Timeslips)
