SOLVED

Hi

From reading through the forum, while posting here, it sounds like I will need to call Nancy and/or Caren2.

A long time client, a single atty office, within a year of retiring was experiencing computer issues.  I successfully migrated all of his practice over to a new PC to get him through 2023 except one application - Timeslips 10.1

I have ID, SN, config disks, and his backups.

I need a solution for my client so he can proceed with winding down his practice without incurring additional expenses.

The new PC is running Win11. As I try to resolve, I keep getting the notice about incompatibility with this OS.  The last two machines were Win7 and Win10.

Should I rebuild the new machine as Win10 or is there a straight forward solution to resolving this issue in Win11?

Suggestions on how best to proceed?

Version 10.1 is very old. The chances of getting it to run on windows 10 or windows 11 or slim. At this point Timeslips is subscription only so he could buy a subscription for one year or month. If subscription is not renewed it becomes read only.

I have Timeslips 2020 and it works on Windows 10.  But what happens when I need to migrate to Windows 11 next October.  My computer has an I7 Intel processor but it is not on the Windows 11 list. If I do the workaround to update my computer to Windows 11 will Timeslips 2020 work.  Or if I buy a new computer can I transfer my Timeslips 20 to the new computer.  I do have the original link to the original upload but I am not sure if that will work.

    - Timeslips 2020 should work on Windows 11.
    - The download link will not work and you will need to obtain that version from a consultant.
