Degrading Letterhead Image

I've tried everything in order to have a clear letterhead for printing my bills. I've downloaded paint.net to change the DPI to the recommended 300, I've copy and pasted from a png file, I tried saving as a bmp file to see if that could save the quality but I can't get a clear image. I'm not altering the image once I add it to the bill layout, I have been saving it as the size that I need and then pasting or inserting the graphic. Is there something I'm missing that someone else has figured out? I followed the steps below from the support chat. I'm working with timeslips premium.

    Hello,

I'm not having trouble inserting the letterhead, it's the quality of the letterhead. It comes out fuzzy every time. Despite altering the resolution before inserting.

Hi  I was wondering if there were any other options I could try? Is it possible to get someone from Sage to enter it? I'm not sure what to do next to make things more efficient for our billing cycle.

    Thanks.

Does it have a graphic in the letterhead? Or is it all text based?

    Hi Nancy,

It is an image file. A png but I have tried jpeg as well.

Thanks  , but not quite what I asked.

Often a letter head will be composed of either all text, or mostly text plus a logo. Can you paste the image of your letterhead here so I can get an idea of what you are working with?

    My apologies Nancy,

It is all text with no graphics.

Okay, in that case, you probably don't need to fool around with a graphic. You should be able to create the letterhead within Timeslips using the layout tool.

Do you know the font that is being used? Do you own that font?

We have the font that was used, however we can't get the spacing correct since timeslips doesn't have character spacing properties. That's why we've been trying to use an image of the file for continuity.

I understand. These are a bit of a bear either way. Takes a bit of tweaking, but usually we can get something that is what I would call "functionally similar." Also known as "good enough" for the bills.

That is not to belittle the importance of the logo/image. It should look pretty close to your image. So it is worth getting it as close as you can. But if it is not EXACTLY similar, most client's won't notice.

Reach out if you would like some help with it. I've done a lot of these over the last 31 years. :-)
