Timeslips Go Billing Rate Issues

Solved

I have been having issues for many months, since Go was released.  When time keepers enter their time in Go, their rates are not consistent with the rates in Premium or even within Go.  For example, one user will enter time for Client A at a rate of $500, the same user will enter another time entry for the same client and the rate will change to $400.  I have been in contact with Support for many months trying to figure this out with little to no help and now with no response at all.  Anyone else having this issue?

Hi  , the first thing I would check is that you are on at least Build 30.0.8.176 which was released in September 2025. That build specifically addressed an issue with rates in Go. See below:

"Issue # 3: Billing rates may not transfer for new or updated Timeslips Go timekeepers
After initially transferring data, if you added or updated timekeepers then billing rates for those timekeepers may not transfer to Timeslips Go properly. Now when you update the timekeeper email in Timeslips Premium, it will force all billing rates associated with that timekeeper to
    transfer.
    (Ref: 347407)"

Not exactly sure what Sage means by the second step of "update the timekeeper email in Timeslips Premium," but I would first see if those two things have been done before looking elsewhere.

Note that the update may not affect existing slips with the wrong rates that have been created or downloaded from Go, but it should stop it from continuing to happen.

The updates are included as part of your subscription. You can check your Build number from within the Premium desktop under Help, About Timeslips Premium. The build will be shown right under the name of the version. In my example below I have not yet loaded the update, so my version is still at 30.0.7.157.

There is also an October update coming out today. Updates are cumulative, so you might just want to get the latest and greatest here: https://us-kb.sage.com/portal/app/portlets/results/viewsolution.jsp?solutionid=221924160112073

If you are preparing to do your October bills and have a large number of slips that have been affected and downloaded into Premium, you might need to do some reporting, and update rates to get them squared away to get the billing out faster than one by one editing.
