Thoughts for a new service release update

Solved

We just transitioned to the new Timeslips Go Anywhere online platform from the Timeslips eCenter and these are the notes/complaints I'm getting from my firm's users:

  • please allow a setting change to automatically default creat each new entry as "complete" with the option to toggle off if wanted.
  • The client box currently only shows nickname 1 (our matter numbers) and we miss that they used to show Nickname 1 (matter number) and Nickname 2 (matter short name). This change is difficult for those users that refer to names to distinguish between all the numbers. A display setting option would be appreciated.
  • Some of our rates for distinct clients have not transfered to the new portal and values are showing as $0. I can't figure out how to resolve and will have to reach out to support but it's frustrating that this occurred and may require the labor and time consuming task of manually correcting each entry!

Regarding your last point - We have seen reports of some firms where rates did not properly come over with the transition. If you reach out to support they can fix this for you.

For the first item, this functionality exists in the current build. Have your administrator of Go click their initials in the top right corner and select Security. For each login you can mark "Default Slips to Completed". This will automatically toggle the Complete setting automatically for new slips.

For the second item, you can click the three vertical dots to the right of any name type. This will allow you to switch back and forth between Nickname 1 and Nickname 2. But sometime soon (currently scheduled by May, but that could change), we plan to release an update with both names displayed at the same time within the name lists on the Slip Entry page.

I agree with Caren on the last item. Contact Support about your billing rates. There was an issue in this area in the past, but everything should be working properly. Support can help you troubleshoot the issue.

    Thanks for posting!

Hello  , and welcome to the Community.

    1) Default to Completed.  I thought there was a way and tried to find it, but could not. Thanks to  for stepping in with that.

    2) That one should be coming soon as Tom said.

    3) It was my understanding that the rate rule issue was resolved in a previous service release/build. You will want to make sure that your on premise Premium is on the latest build. If not, you can download the latest build for free, and then install it on your current build. As of today (March 16, 2026) the current version for Premium is:

You can check your build number under Help, About Sage Timeslips Premium
