Print supervision function (PSIMP) is used to visualize, for a specific print server, the list of tasks under process and, depending on the authorization level, to delete one task from the list or to change its priority.
Successful print jobs can be viewed in this function. This function allows monitoring mechanisms to retrieve all jobs, successful or not for better and more robust traceability.
From console 2.58.0 9 (shipped along with 2023R2 release) onwards now we have option to retain successful print jobs for traceability.
The default retention period for successful print jobs is 0 minutes (No retention). This can be changed in the Sage X3 Management Console, in the Print Server expert parameters.
Step 1: Option changes in Expert mode
- Login to console and open print server setup.
- Select Expert mode option.
- Double click on Time before deleting print job status to change 0 minutes.
Step 2: Configure print server to save changes.
- Click configuration.
- Verify the configuration process has been completed successfully.
Step 3. Verify result in Print supervision function (PSIMP)
- Logging in user X3AU in on session and running report ITMMASTER in function Report AIMP
- Logging in as X3 admin user and opening PSIMP to verify Print Job
