hello, as far as I know, all of Sage X3 data is in a database in MS SQL or Oracle DB (depending on what you have installed). You should be able to connect and pull whatever data you'd like from SQL. Sage X3 uses ODBC to connect to MS SQL and you can see the setup in the ODBC functionality in windows.
I would recommend that you evaluate the Sage Data & Analytics solution which is purpose built to support using Power BI with Sage X3. It includes a reporting ready pre-built X3 data model, many pre-defined KPIs, out of the box Power BI dashboards, smart data modeling capabilities, a security model for the X3 data, and more. It may be more than what you need as described in this post, but depending on your longer term needs it could be a fit.
Thank you for your answer and recommendation Steve. Where can I find the solution you suggested? Could you share a link please?
Hi Farren Collins ,
Here are some links you can review. Each link contains some unique content. The last link is a link to the Sage US Marketplace. You should check the Sage Marketplace in the country in which you reside.
At F5IT.pt (Platinum Sage Partner) you already have a set of Power BI dashboards for Sage X3, in the areas of Finance, WMS, Sales, Stocks, Purchasing.
