UFL u212text.dll Not Installed (X3 V12, Crystal Reports)

Hello!

I am customizing Crystal Reports files for a client running X3 V12, and encountered a strange issue. Some reports were not displaying expected information. Example:

In the Sales Invoice, not all the Invoice Elements descriptions were displaying. So I reviewed the subreport that display the descriptions (using function X3TranslatedText), and I clicked the validation button for exiting, and I got this message: "UFL 'u212text.dll' that implements this function is missing." This confused me, since this Crystal function and others, are used in many native Crystal Report files in X3.

My IT team member found that Crystal 2016 was installed. And so, he uninstalled that Crystal, and installed Crystal v2020. But the issue persisted. So, here is my question: How could files like UFL 'u212text.dll not be installed during the Crystal Report install? And, how to resolve the issue so that they are installed?

I do not know how your crystal report issue is related to Sage Intelligence (the forum you posted in). You might want to move it to General Discussion.

SI is deprecated for Sage X3 (at least here in North America) and its unlikely anyone would have seen the post.

I had a scenario where this was the Crystal Reports function that showed the error in the print server trace file after I enabled /d mode.

The answer came down to the X3 Solution function having an IP address for the runtimes instead of the name. I don't know why, but the scenario was such that we could see it worked every now and then, and we could see that the IP address versus the name was the only difference.

I'll note that I couldn't switch it from the front-end because it kept switching it back to the IP address while doing it in the X3 Solutions function, but I was able to use Robo Mongo to edit it directly from there.
