I must admit I've never seen any kind of saving prompt message in Evolution, especially on Inventory Items. Normally, you can save or cancel on the screen, and if you simply close the screen on the red X (screen close icon top right corner), no prompt is displayed. 

What is the Power Management Setting on the laptop?

I will capture a pop-up box. With a new PC running Windows 11 Pro, there is no Power Management tab for devices as you have shown.

My laptop is running in the modern standby as indicated here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/device-experiences/modern-standby-vs-s3

The pop ups occur when not using SAGE but the laptop is being used with other programmes.

However, when connected to mains power (which it is when running SAGE), it is running with best performance. However, I have turned off some "efficiency" settings to see if that makes any difference.

Here's an example of the pop up from BOM:

This is not because changes were made. The BOM window was left open for about 15 minutes while I was busy elsewhere. This seems to be the case for other pop ups - if a window has not activity on it in SAGE, then after a time, I'm prompted to save changes.

And the above message is still observed even after you did the following?

This seems to be due to some kind of 'idling' time issue???

But Evolution has no such setting to control it. 

Is there not perhaps some other, external setting on your Domain Network that can cause unused applications to time out, or to lose connection to the network?

Nothing on network that disconnects or closes applications. I can only surmise that since this a brand new laptop with latest generation hardware then there may be a Windows 11 setting that is causing it. Given that no other computers on network (all on Windows 10 Pro) have experienced the issue.

Will monitor.

Please also test the following:

Take the laptop and plug it into the network point that is usually used by one of the other workstations (where everything is working fine).

Then closely monitor the behaviour of Evolution. 

Perhaps,  there may be some network issues on that specific network point.???? 

ELSE: 

Is the laptop connected via Wifi or Ethernet connection?

I've been working remote using VPN and had the same issue - so completely different access point/network address. I also verified the same message whether I am connected by Ethernet or WiFi. I suspect it is something to live with and too difficult to fault find any further.
