Why is it important to locate the EvoBICMetaData folder on OneDrive?

Why can't it be located in a shared folder? 

Simply for security reasons?

Rob who is on leave has asked me to investigate. It could be that the one drive has more storage. Id need to ask him, however he is onleave till next week.

With many installations now moving to Azure, and AVD environments, OneDrive, in conjunction with SharePoint, is the standard technology for file sharing, whilst file shares are generally considered a historical technology, therefore not considered a good fit in the latest environments...
