Is Sage now going to charge customers for additional companies on Pastel as well, like what was recently hastily implemented/announced on Sage 200 Evolution??

My Pastel Partner keeps popping up an error to say I will need an internet connection to make the changes - but I am connected to the internet.  Is there somewhere where I should be changing permissions as it doesnt seem to be accessing the available internet.

Try disabling your antivirus and firewall to see if that works. If it does work after doing that, then exclude both Pastel and Pervasive from the antivirus and firewall. Also add ports 1583 and 3351 in the list of firewall exceptions.

In ended up finding Build 19.4.5 and installed that  -- it works perfectly so I will use that one for now.

It states on the linked article that adding or removing companies "affects your subscription entitlements" what does this mean instead of being able to have 1000 companies you are going to be charged individually?

Existing contracts remain as they are, only new sales or upgrades  from off-plan are billed per company.

This is news to me - I have written confirmation from Sage that they have no plans to implement per company billing on Sage 50c...

Well even if you try and create a new company on Sage Pastel, it requires an active internet connection, as you cannot create a new company without being connected, it give the internet connection is required and then throws you out, so seems to me they are going to be billing per company going forward.
