SALES JOURNAL VS CUSTOMER DETAILED LEDGER

Good day,

I have been going through sales journal and customer detailed ledger and see that the grand totals do not match. All the invoices and amounts match. I have found that this is the case for every month.

 Can anyone advise on why this is the case and the necessary steps in fixing this.

    Hi Suraya,

    The sales journal displays the sales processed through the Process Customers function. It does not include customer transactions entered via the Journals. While the detailed ledger contains all transactions for the customer, including those from the journals, discrepancies may arise due to this difference. Additionally, note that the sales journal is organized by specific dates, whereas the detailed ledger is grouped by periods. Therefore, when viewing this report, ensure you select the correct date range. If everything appears accurate, please run the data integrity verification by following these steps:
