We know many of you typically expect your regular software update in March, but we wanted to inform you that our next major software update, Release 6.4a, is now scheduled for 7 April 2025.

We understand this change may be unexpected, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to deliver an even more impactful update.

There is however no reason for concern, as we have the following in place: 

Here’s what’s happening:

• Patch File in March 2025: A patch file will be released tonight 17 March 2025, which includes the latest tax file for South Africa. This will ensure you can continue processing your payroll with the most up-to-date tax information including the new prescribed reimbursive kilometer rate for 2025/2026. (Take note, the software version will not change)

• Software Update in April 2025: The full software update, Release 6.4a, will be deployed in April 2025. This update will include key changes such as:

  • South Africa’s Employment Tax Incentive (ETI) changes, effective April 2025
  • South Africa: New IRP5 code for Repayments/Refunds
  • Updates to UI19 and VAT-related reports (effective May 2025)
  • Changes to Namibia’s Social Security limits
