Ensure your software is updated for successful submission
To ensure smooth and successful submissions for the reconciliation period March 2025 to August 2025, please make sure your payroll software is up to date:

Your payroll application must be on Release 6.5a.

The update includes the latest IRP5/IT3(a) report aligned with the most recent SARS Business Requirement Specification.

The software update is scheduled for mid-September 2025 release. You will be prompted to update when launching your payroll.

SARS e@syFile™ Employer must also be on the latest version released for the 2025/2026 Interim EMP501 Reconciliation season. The application will notify you if an update is required.

Importing mid-year IRP5 files on older versions may result in import errors.
