To ensure smooth and successful submissions for the reconciliation period March 2026 to August 2026, please make sure your payroll software is up to date:

Your payroll application must be on Release 6.7a

The update includes the latest IRP5/IT3(a) report aligned with the most recent SARS Business Requirement Specification

The software update is scheduled for mid-September 2026 release. You will be prompted to update when launching your payroll

SARS e@syFile™ Employer must also be on the latest version released for the 2026/2027 Interim EMP501 Reconciliation season. The application will notify you if an update is required

Importing mid-year IRP5 files on older versions may result in import errors
