As many of you might know, having the ability to file an EMP201 on eFiling on behalf of the company requires the company to be linked to your eFiling profile. This does come with some administration as I have had a few instances where tax directives were filed by individuals that no longer work for the company. There is a discrepancy on a tax directive and an employee has come to you asking you to amend the information as they cannot file their tax return. When you log into eFiling to try and find the tax directives, there is nothing under history. 

It is important to note that tax directive information is not transferred when a company profile is linked to a new user’s profile as the user that filed that tax directive is the only person that has access to that information. 

In these situations, you will need to make contact with SARS to find out what the best course of action is, and they might require you to visit your closest branch with all the relevant information.
