A patch file is now available on the Sage Portal for Sage VIP Classic and Premier Release 6.4a released on 5 June 2025.
The patch file will resolve the following scenario:
- A user with limited access to a payroll company who has already logged in with a Sage Account but still receives the Sage Account countdown message.
Please note:
- This patch is intended for users where the Sage account countdown still continues after linking the companies
- This is an additional download for Sage VIP Classic and Premier Release 6.4a and is not included in the update installation file available on the Sage Portal.
- For more information on this patch file, refer to the Additional Notes Release 6.4a Patch 25.06.04.
- The patch file should not be installed on any system prior to Release 6.4a.
- There a separate patch files for 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the application
How to download and install the patch file:
Important: It’s always recommended to perform a full system backup before extracting any new program files to your application.
- Access the Sage Portal (https://portal.sage.co.za/shp/)
- Select Product Updates.
- Select your payroll product: Sage VIP Classic or Sage VIP Premier.
- Select Release 6.4a.
- Scroll down and locate Patch File 25.06.04 in the Additional Downloads section:
- There are separate patch files the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the payroll software - select the correct file to download
- Extract the contents of the .ZIP file to your system folder and select to overwrite the existing files.
- Firstly, the user with 'Full Control' need to access all affected companies on the payroll.
- Thereafter, the user with limited access need to access the companies to confirm the issue is resolved.
