We’ve identified an issue affecting Kenya P9 Tax Deduction Card report in Sage VIP Premier for users who installed the following software files:
- Patch release | Sage VIP Premier 6.5a: Kenya and Malawi (released 5 December 2025)
- Product update | Sage VIP Classic and Sage VIP Premier Release 6.5b now available (released 16 January 2026)
What is the issue?
We've clarified that on the P9 report, the 'Benefit - Non Cash' field should only include the taxable portion, and not the full value of the benefit.
The report included in the patch and 6.b update includes the full value as linked on the Kenya reports setup.

How do resolve this issue?
- Ensure your payroll is on Release 6.5b.
- Download the patch file 26.02.06 from the Sage Portal, available on the Release 6.5b software page.
- Extract the patch file into your Premier system folder, overwriting existing files.

- Review your Kenya P9 report setup.
