We're aware of an issue where the Createshortcut.exe program doesn't work as expected on Release 6.6a.
When you create a desktop shortcut using the application within the Sage VIP system folder, the error message appears onscreen.
To resolve the issue, we've released a new versation of the application as a patch file on the Sage Portal.
This issue only affects Release 6.6a , and not previous versions. This will also be included in future software updates.
How to download and install the patch file:
Important: It’s always recommended to perform a full system backup before extracting any new program files to your application.
- Access the Sage Portal.
- Select Product Updates.
- Select your payroll product.
- Select Release 6.6a
- Scroll down and locate Patch File 26.03.18 in the Additional Downloads section:
- Download the patch file
- Extract the contents of the .ZIP file to your Release 6.6a system.
- Overwrite existing file
