A new version of Release 6.6a was made available on 16 March 2026 to address the retirement fund deduction limit issue. As part of this update, the version number displayed on the Main Menu was adjusted to indicate that the updated Release 6.6a has been installed.
We are aware of an issue in Sage VIP Classic where the version number does not display the expected “+” sign.
This issue only affects the version display on the Main Menu. The retirement fund deduction limit has been correctly applied.
To resolve the display issue, a revised installation file was made available on the Sage Portal on 18 March 2026. Once this file is installed, the version will display correctly on the Main Menu.
Do I need to install the latest update?
If you have already installed the update released on 16 March 2026, it is not necessary to download and install the revised file.
How to confirm your installation
To verify that the correct installation file is in use, please follow these steps:

Right-click on your system desktop icon.

Select Open file location.

Locate the file VIPMENU.ACU.

Check the Date modified — it should be 13/03/2026 or later.
