Payroll Listing not exporting to Excel

Good Day 
 
 Why is the payroll listing and listing history not exporting to excel. 
 I do not have a special character in the folder name and its on the c drive of my computer.

 When the History Reports do not export, it usually indicates a few environmental things to check, as per the following article: 
 
 Excel reports not opening or displaying information when printed through the payroll system
