This seems to be an issue related to the Microsoft .NET version installed, or one of the .DLL files used to run features of the system that might be missing.

Ensure that .NET 3.5 and 4.8 is activated:

• The following articles will assist you to check and activate the versions of .NET required on a workstation:
  • Technical: How do I activate Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 on my computer?
  • Technical: How do I activate Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 on my computer?
• Your IT might need to reinstall the package if there are any issues in activating these packages

Uninstall and Reinstall Sage VIP Runtime

• On your computer desktop, Search for your Control Panel > Uninstall a program
• Locate the application Sage VIP Runtime (x86) or Sage VIP Runtime (x64), and select to uninstall the application
• Access the system folder from your computer, where the payroll application is installed
• Locate the file SageVIPRuntime.exe, and select to run the application as administrator (right-click on the file, 'Run as administrator')
