If you are trying to restore a backup of the previous e@syFile system into the new software, this cannot be done. You can only retrieve your certificate history per tax year.

Are you trying to restore a database backup created on the older version of e@syFile Employer (7.4.6 or lower)?
I know the older version backups are not compatible with the new TC version (800 and 801).
Each employer needs to be created (will happen if you import the IRP5 CSV file, or needs to be done manually).

If you have admin rights on your PC, you can try the following: exit your easyfile, next to your Windows Start button, in the search block type services and open it. Locate the EasyfileServer, right click on it and select restart. Once the process has completed proceed to open your easyfile again.
