Your connection isn’t private- Browser issue -Sage X3

Solved

We are experiencing an issue while accessing the Sage X3 application through Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.

At times, the browser displays the message: "Your connection isn’t private", even though the application is running under a valid HTTPS certificate.

Currently, the only workaround is to:

  • Clear browser cache and browsing history
  • Remove and re-enter the bookmark URL

After performing these steps, the application works again. However, this issue occurs daily and is affecting normal operations.

We have already contacted the Sage X3 vendor, and they confirmed that there are no issues with the hosting SSL certificate. Please provide a permanent solution to resolve this issue

    Hi Kashi,

After applysing the SSL certificate inside Syarcuse, its also a good idea to restart the Syracuse Server.

The error "ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID" in Chrome means the browser does not trust the website’s security certificate.
This can happen because of an issue on your computer (client-side) or a configuration problem on the Syracuse WEB server.

In general, a complete server restart after applying SSL certificates is not uncommon.

Please also remember to create a host entry for a standard HTTP connections for Syracuse on for example 8124.

You may obvisouly create the port for SSL on which you apply the SSL certifcate to something like 8443 or 443.

Also, ensure to prefix the URL with HTTPS when creating a connection onto Sage X3 using SSL.

It may be wise to log a proper support issue should you require more assistance, through your Sage X3 Business Partner if you are not a registered Sage X3 Business Partner yourself.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Renier
