Getting rid of old product messages in Sage 50

Keep getting prompted about an available update which you've already installed?

Get rid of the message by going to the bottom right corner of the Sage 50 program.

Click the envelop icon to launch the Message Centre, then Select which messages to  remove and click on Discard.

   

How to stop auto downloads and updates

  1. Go to Help > About Sage 50 > Support Info > Modify Product Update Settings.
  2. Take out the check mark on the option Automatically Install Product Updates.

Should this still not resolve your issue, re-install the full program with the latest link (Sage 50 2017.2  includes July 2017 tax tables changes and other updates).

  • Re stopping auto downloads and updates. Sage should consider only suggesting product updates when the software is closed from Single User Mode. In a multi-user installation with a dedicated server, the "easy one-step update" will usually cause a version confusion wreck where only one, or everyone but one, can work.
