Sage 50 CA 2017.2 Component Update

Beginning this week we will be releasing a Component Update for Sage 50 CA users. This update includes additional security improvements for the Office 365 Integration which will enhance the capability to integrate Sage 50c with Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium. This is an exciting partnering of Sage and Microsoft that provides Sage 50c desktop accounting software with anytime, anywhere, cloud access, and seamless integration with Microsoft Office 365, giving small businesses more freedom and flexibility in how they work. After the component update is installed, you will see no changes in Sage 50.

  • Hi RandyW. We have a knowledgebase article, #85135 that has updated files for the import utility avaialble now. We are still working on a fix for the recurring transaction error message.

    The component update was for the integration of Office 365 which is multi-user capable. That integration offers the features of Sage Sage Contacts, which allows you to sync your customer and vendor contacts to your Outlook account on any device so you can access information such as the last 5 sales or purchase transactions, payments, balances, and contact information. Online backup is another feature available with this integration.

    2017.2 introduced 2 new features for additional functionality which are both also multi-user. The first being Sage Intelligence Reporting Cloud, which allows you to access financial reporting from any device where Office 365 is installed. The second is Sage Capture that allows you to take an image of things such as expenses for your accounting software.
