Recurring Transaction Payment Types Don't Save Anymore

This complaint kind of goes along with the change that happened it 2017.0 and was somewhat resolved in 2017.1 of payment type always switching back to "pay later". I guess they put a bandaid on that by adding the push pin, but still why does it override to pay later in the recurrings??? If I save a recurring it should save the whole transaction, payment and all. It's kind of only doing half it's job if it's not remembering how it was paid each occurrence right?

You can go into your vendor masters and set the type as well. And then when you go in to enter an invoice it will pop up to what you put in the master. I do this for every vendor that we pay online and set them all to cash. Same for payments from Customers. I set the masters to the type of payment they make. We have several that are Electronic Payments so I set them to cash and it automatically changes them to that type of payment when I enter the receipts.

this fix doesn't really work for my situation. bell may take payment on one account on visa monthly and from the bank for another account monthly. i'm not sure why they would remove the payment from the recurrings if the intention is that they are the same transaction every time and it worked fine the way it was, if you setup a recurring in the old simply and it wasn't paid same every time you left it at pay later and put in the payment each time. now even when you do put in the payment type it doesn't save it? why?? seems a lot more difficult the way it is now.

Yes and I find you have to enter the Vendor or Customer etc. name first and then click on type for it to keep it. I understand what you are saying for your situation why it doesn't work by changing the masters.
