I find it very helpful to have a .pdf driver set up as a 'printer', so that I can always 'print' something to .pdf even if I can't find an easy 'create .pdf' utility in the program.  If you have a .pdf reader installed (Adobe, Foxit, whatever), you might already have a .pdf 'printer' installed - take a look and see what 'printers' are available to you.
