My suggestion is to print to PDF in a folder and later attach the file to the email along with the other files.

If you have to redo the invoice all you have to do is use the same title.

This would be such a pain as the printer settings in Sage suck. If I could easily save the invoice as a PDF rather then print as a PDF, that could work easier. Otherwise each time I have to go into setting, change the printer, and then back again to set it again for printing other things that are not PDF. And if you forget, you end up posting something without printing and then have to hunt down that item so you could reopen and reprint. 

There are two ways to send invoices through email.  Which way are you sending?

If you are sending through Default Desktop email, does it not have a way to work Offline?  I use Outlook and it has a way to work offline and still have emails build up in the Outbox for editing and review before sending.

Each form type and reports themselves have their own printer.  If you wished to set up a specific printer for just invoices, you don't have to keep switching it to print other things like reports or cheques, etc.

I am using the link at the top of the page to send the email. Its sending the email through my Gmail account. I have heard that Outlook can be setup to send the email to the outbox rather then send it. But I am trying to see if I can do the same with Gmail as I would prefer not to have to use Outlook if its not needed. 

Unfortunately, I believe you are set up to use the Gmaill SMTP server directly using Sage 50 to do the email, rather than integrating with email software.

Using Outlook or other email software installed on your computer will allow some control over the timing of sending and give you the option to stop it and add more attachments, add/change email addresses,,etc.

perhaps you could turn off wifi.  that would hold all items in outbox and allow you to attach as required then turn wifi back on to complete sending.  i have heard some gmail add ons that allow scheduling but not sure if these would serve your purpose, and i believe they are paid add ons

Using an external SMTP server, I don't believe there is an Outbox.  In fact, I've heard from others that some of the services don't even send the sent emails to your Sent Items folder.

i use gmail for my email of invoices and statements, all items in my sent box all the time.

I was really hoping for a smooth transition from using Paypal and then having to manually enter the invoices into sage, to be able to use just Sage for the whole process. There are two of us that log in and send invoices and the process of turning the internet on and off every time we need to send an invoice is another unneeded step and would create other issues. So far the Outlook option sounds like it is the best option, but again maybe I am not smart enough to understand, but how hard would it be to have Sage just add an attachment to an email. Its already doing it by adding the invoice. 

You are correct and I was really hoping to use the email process I already use to send emails. Plus I am not big on Outlook as its just another thing I need to install and setup on all the computers I use rather then just log in to Gmail. Currently with all the extra steps, sounds like the best idea is to continue to do our current process and unfortunately not be able to use Sage to complete a transaction from start to finish.
