Can you give us an idea of what you tried and what does not work?  That way we won't have to recreate the help files for you.  Let us know what you have in all the columns on the Sales Tax and Sales Tax Code Setup screens and what the code is supposed to calculate.

Normally when you set up a file for a specific province, the sales tax and sales tax codes for your province are already entered for you.  So if you want, create a dummy file for Ontario and look at all the settings.  It won't give you all the possible options but will give you a code that will calculate tax on top of anything you type in the amount column.

Please note that First Step does not give you option to create new tax name.  It only allows you to create new tax code.
