Converting from Sage Pro 2011 to Sage Pro 2017

SUGGESTED

I'm taking over as Treasurer for a small non-profit organization.  They purchased Sage 50 Pro 2017 for this purpose and I have been preparing for the handover from the previous Treasurer.  The previous Treasurer worked with Pro 2011, so I needed the old files converted.  I investigated the process last October, and, as a test, successful converted an old 2011 database to 2017 by following the instructions at https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=68836&sliceId=1>.  I uninstalled the Sage 50 Pro 2015 Trial Edition when I was satisfied that the process worked.  I believe I used it for a day.

I now need to do this one final time on the end-of-year data as part of the handover.  Unfortunately, the 2015 Trial Version installation has expired and I can not longer use it without activating it.

How can I perform a one-time conversion if the 2015 Trial Version won't open?

    Issue resolved.

It appears that I do not have to actually open Sage 2015 to perform this conversion, just have it present on the system.  The time limitation on the Trial Edition seems to be irrelevant.

If a Sage moderator reads this, I suggest that while the support article does, sort of, mention this, it could be updated to emphasize this and remove any misunderstanding.
