balance of my retained earnings account is incorrect after closing the fiscal year 2017 to 2018

I have always checked our Integrity Summary but for some reason the last couple years it was missed.  Our TB year end for 2017 was balanced but TB for Jan 1 2018 was out and it now has carried over into the TB year end for 2018  and TB for Jan 1 2019 with an accumulated number. Total Debits and Total Credits - (Credits have a higher amount) Does anyone know if tech support will help us out and try to fix this if possible? We have an older version 2011 Release F. (if its not broken) Slight smile  I was reading in the forum with issues of power outages possibly causing problems, we have had them sometimes throughout the past years during office hours?  TIA

As your version of Sage 50 is no longer supported by Sage due to it being an nine year old product I doubt you would get any help from Sage. I would suggest that you try running the Advance Database Check which is near the bottom of the Maintenance drop down menu.

Thank you, it's what I thought. I did look under the maintenance tab and I don't have the Advance Database Check. I have Database Integrity, Database Utilities>Repair Security

I wondered if the advanced database check had been added to your version or if it came later. If you purchase a new version, 2020, and have trouble with the conversion of your data set Sage will provide a one time help. However, to bring a data set from 2011 to 2020 you are also required to install a trial version of the 2015 version as there was a major database change in 2014. The conversion to the new data base was only in the 2014 and 2015 versions of Sage 50. If you decide to go with purchasing the 2020 version and need assistance, I could assist remotely or you could contact a Sage 50 Consultant in your own city.

Thank you, it must have been in a later version.  I will keep this in mind.  Thank you again Slight smile
