Assuming you are running Accrual Accounting, if the original entry is dated in 2018, you need to run a report dated in 2018 (move the fiscal year back) to see the information.  Drilling down on a balance sheet account dated Feb 29/20 will only show entries dated from the beginning of your current fiscal year to Feb 29/20.

Thanks. Do you mean that unpaid invoice amount in 2018 accumulated in Accounts payables of balance sheet but it can not show up on the GL accounts payables. Right ?

Could you let me know why it doesn’t show on Trial Balance on February 29,2020?

Yes, the unpaid balance of any purchase invoice is in the current balance, in your case Feb 29/20.  If it was paid before Feb 29/20 then no, but if it was paid after Feb 29 or not paid at all, the amount of the invoice is included in the balance at Feb 29/20.

Yes it can if you run the report for the date period of the date of the invoice.  See the image below.  Use this dropdown to select the fiscal year from 2018 and you can then narrow down the dates and accounts as necessary.

The invoice amount should be in the balance but you will not see the entry in the drill down G/L report because of the reasons I gave you yesterday.  Change Balance Sheet to Trial Balance.
