Did you post in the Third-Party Developers forum by accident or are you saying you changed the sysadmin username to an employee's name by programming outside of Sage 50?

Assuming the forum posting location is an accident, there is no way to change sysadmin to an employee's name.  sysadmin always exists, just log in as sysadmin using that username's password and you can then change or delete the other username or security rights.

You do have to open the company file as sysadmin in single-user mode to make any changes to users.

Anyway, how do you change the sysadmin password since I forget what the password is?

I don't know if the Repair Security option on the Maintenance, Database Utilities menu will allow a subsidiary user to clear the security but I also don't think it will remove the sysadmin password anymore either.

sysadmi

passwor

pwd

1234

dental - try Dental too

club - try Club too

lab

laborat

the owner's first name

admin

I don't know if Sage tech support can reset sysadmin.  I know it's possible but I've only know of it being done in data repair.  If you want me to have a look at it for you, you can contact me off forum through the email address in my profile (assuming the above options don't work).  BTW, when testing the above options, you get three chances, then you will have to select the file again.
