update utility

Hi there

We are running Sage50 Canadian...we got this update utility for stock updates that connect via an ODBC connector and uploads a csv file , and updates the relevant stock in the Company.

The last few weeks we have not been able to use this utility as it is not connecting due to a ODBC driver error , can't seem to connect through port 13531.

I've reinstalled the utility , recreated the connection , re-registered missing dll files , even upgraded the machine to Win 10 Pro 64x , double checked firewall settings all to no avail....

If you guys can assist or point me in the right direction that would be great , i know SAGE is not keen on ODBC connectors....if all else fails , what is our alternative to get these stock items updated?

    Because we don't know what utility you are using or how it works, we can't really help you with specifics with it.  Because you didn't give us the ODBC error message, we can't help with that either.

    However, port 13531 is the port the Connection Manager uses to listen for signals from the Sage 50 program.  You might want to check for the port the database is using from Help, About Sage 50..., Support Info.  The ports start at 13540 and go up by one for each database open simultaneously on the same file server.
