Session date will not change for me

Today is January 12 2022  I am trying to set my session date to 1/12/2022  I get an error that is more than a week from my last session date 12/31/2021, I click through then I get the error  pictured below.  the same error shows up when I try to change the date to any date past 12-31-21.

Of course you will find it here.

It's almost as if your system is reading day/month/year instead of month/day/year.  I don't know if this is because your Windows date format is different than that of Sage 50.

Try going to Maintenance, Start New Year and see if that helps you switch years.  Make sure you get a backup of your file before you try it.  If you have a choice between calendar and fiscal, pick calendar.

I had this happen yesterday and I found that you have to be in single user mode to advance the database to the new calendar year. Once this is done then everyone using Quantum will be able to advance their session date to the new year as well.

    Thank you,  that worked!

why is it after someone gives an answer and you are not frustrated or worried you did something wrong, that is effecting the whole accounting team,  you see the answer/steps plain as day?

    Thanks again

Lorna: I understand your frustration. As in my case there was only one other user and they could not advance the session date either. They did discover they could still make all their entries in January with no concerns as it is a calendar year end and not a fiscal year end. Have a great day.
