How do I remove an inactive client

We have numerous (over half) of our clients that are inactive for more than 4 years, some for 10 plus years
I am have them all inactive, but I would like to remove them  so they don't show up in the customer list.

When I try and delete them it tells me  "Cannot remove this customer until all its transactions have been removed"  There hasn't been any activity since 2018

    Have you gone into your Maintenance to Clear the applicable data?

    My suggestion is to not clear data as you may want to go back into history for a study of one sort or another. Also, you need to be able to provide six years, plus current, if the CRA has reason to go back that far with an audit. All this may seem redundant but it does happen.

    If you are using the PRO version once you pass the seven year mark you will be able to delete the vendors and customers where there has been no activity in the current seven years (6+1). In the mean time you can also indicate not to show inactive vendors on many of the reports including the home screen. This will reduce the size of your list.
