Save your company with a different name

Hello,

I seem to be having trouble when saving my company. I always click save as & resave over the same file. The last few days after I try to save using the same file name I've been using, I get a message that says "Save your company with a different name".  It seems that the only way I can save the company is to rename the file each time I save. Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix it?

    Thanks for reaching out on our Community Hub. This is a known issue that can occur if the folder you're saving to has read-only permissions, or if backups are being done in the company.SAJ folder.

    To resolve this, you should:

    1. Ensure there are no backups in your SAJ folder.
    2. Remove read-only permissions on the company folder.
    3. Change the location in the backup path so it does not include company.SAJ.

    Additionally, if you're using the Remote Data Access feature and encountering errors stating that the shared company is already open, or that only the file owner can pause/resume sharing, you may use the 'Overwrite Shared Data' feature. This can help re-share a backup/copy if the currently shared file cannot be opened by any user.

    To use this feature, go to File > Remote Data Access > Overwrite Shared Data. Remember, this should only be done with a backup copy that was created while the company was shared, and it will replace the currently shared file with the new one without requiring other users to re-download the shared file.
