Cannot create new company and cannot switch to multiple user mode.

SUGGESTED

I have Sage50 CA Premium version and when i open the sample data and switch to multiple user mode, it has "The program could not process this transaction" error., and saying there is problem with the company information data.

When I'm trying to create new company, after fill in the information, it always has the error saying "other user are currenlty working with this company ...", but in fact there is no one but me creating the company.

    Hi  ,

Thanks for reaching out. Are you still experiencing this issue? It sounds like you've encountered a couple of different error messages indicating issues with processing transactions and company information data, as well as a conflict suggesting another user is working with the company data when you try to create a new company.

This problem might be related to the software's permissions settings or a conflict within the database files. Here are a few steps you might try to resolve the issue:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure your Sage 50 CA software is up to date. Sometimes, these issues are resolved in the latest software updates.
    2. Run as Administrator: Try running Sage 50 as an administrator. Right-click the Sage 50 icon and select "Run as administrator" to see if this resolves the issue.
    3. Check User Permissions: If you're in a multi-user environment, ensure that no other users are logged into the company file you're trying to access or create. Also, verify that your user account has the necessary permissions to create a new company and switch modes.
    4. Data Verification: Use the check data integrity tool within Sage 50 to check for any data integrity issues that might be causing these errors.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it might be more complex and require specific guidance from Sage support. They can provide more detailed troubleshooting steps and potentially access support tools to directly address the problem.

Please let me know if you've tried any of these steps already or if there's anything more I can do to assist you.

    Warm Regards,
    Erzsi
